Dad is the best!!

I'm sort of like the TV controller at home, now better known as the Astro controller! I'll be the one sitting right in front of the TV and holding the remote control all to myself. My parents normally would watch whatever movie or drama that i'm watching.
My mum would watch all those programmes which are in English and Cantonese only, simply cos her Mandarin is just 'half plus six'.(hehehe..) But she loves Singapore drama tho... She doesn't like korean series cos mostly has been dubbed into mandarin except for Jewel in the Palace which was in Cantonese. Hence whenever i watch any korean drama or taiwanese drama, she'll stay away fr the Tv and left me watching it by myself...
Normally, mums always love watching dramas, doesn't matter of what type, especially korean dramas (nowadays) but that doesn't apply to mine. Instead, my dad would be the one accompanying me watching all those series, from japanese to korean to taiwanese to cantonese and even movies in Disney Channel! He doesn't really follow the story cos he doesn't have tt much time to spend for watching TV, but all i need to do is briefly tell him about the story n he can follow the whole drama easily....
My dad's such a wonderful guy.....

*MUACKS*.... love u dad!!!

Fried Rice

Tt day during our lunch at Chili's we've discussed on the food tt we need to prepare when we are in Scotland, tho nuttin has been confirmed yet, but Theng told me to learn how to cook fried rice. Coincidently, i've bought 2 packets of the Maggi 'no MSG added' fried rice mix, one Yong Chow and the other is Belacan. My mum n i decided to try out the Belacan one, with me being the chef of the day. Wahaha.... Here's the result!!

The taste was quite ok... but don't think it's a wise choice to bring the mix to Scotland. Will try to find better receipes for Fried Rice!!

Bye bye mouse...

Yesterday was the last day for my mouse to be with me till late nights while blogging. Sob sob. It all happened when i turned on my table fan and the gush of the wind managed to blew the mouse down onto the floor. The whole mouse was disassembled.
Today, my dad got me new tikus, a cute one!

Daniel...

Finally, i've bought Daniel's CD (album), or rather my mum has bought it... It only has 10 songs in it. Heard for a total of 5 times, i think it's quite ok, seeing the fact that they only used about 2 months to produce this album. His album consist of entirely pop songs which is my fav. Some of his songs are quite slow but still bearable to me.

The best part is, the album comes with romanized lyrics. Desperately needed for 'bananas' like me. =)

Husband & Wife...

Don't know how did we came to this topic about husband & wife in our conversation this afternoon at the rooftop. I think it's kinda interesting cos everyone has their on view about it. So, i've decided to blog about it. Can't really remember all the questions, but here are bits and pieces of it...

Q: If u ever caught your spouse having sex red-handed, what would u do?
Theng: Divorce, but before that might actually go after the husband and give him a whack or something. Wouldn't let him go off just like that...
Everyone: Might ask for divorce, but if there are kids in the family, then might have to consider other alternative. Wouldn't want the kids to have a broken familty tho.
Me: I'm definitely not the type that would yell, scream, or even whack others. Probably, i'll keep it to myself and ask for divorce... pretty stupid, huh? If it's others, i bet the least they would do is whack the bitch!

Q: If your ex invite u for an outing (dinner or etc), would u go?
Everyone: Go with our husband/wife... Introduce our spouse to him/her.

Q: Everyone should have their own friends even when married. What do u think?
Theng, Yin, Joe: Of course..
Me: Yea, but his friends must go thru my 'censorship board' first... hehe

Q: Have joint-account wif your husband and must have additional savings...
Theng, Yin: Of course. Husband's cash are theirs, and their cash are theirs too... haha
Me: Is it really needed? Of course u would have some kind of insurance, just in case if the marriage didn't work out. But is there really a need for that? That's what i thought just now during our conversation. But on second thought, i think if your spouse really loves u, he wouldn't mind sharing his everything with u, right?

Food.... Glorious food....

Had a food fair last Tues and here are some highlights....

4 of us making the croissants with an invader trying to get a bite of it....

Friday...

Our class ended early last Fri and it was our visiting lecturer's last class. So, after class, i went to Midvalley to meet up with my parents and had lunch over there. We've decided to try out the Dragon 1 restaurant since Jackline sort of highly recommended it. The ambience was pretty nice, simple decor giving u a comfortable feeling.

It's supposed to be famous for the Xiao Long Bao originating from Shanghai... u can even see the design on the wrapper of the towel, it has a pic of the bun as well.

So we ended up ordering 2 bowls of la mian which tasted ok with it's chili oil, my fav= sweet n sour chicken, a plate of vege and xiao long bao. The food tasted quite good overall, but the price was a bit steep. Worth trying as the taste is quite close to those in China, but somehow i still feel that the Shanghai's xiao long bao tasted much better.
