1st Mc D and Borders

had our first Mc D meal last Saturday at Buchanan Street... a normal value meal of regular size costs 3.29 pounds (which is basically what i paid).... had a Mc Chicken... theirs is different from the ones we had in Malaysia.... their chicken patty is kinda elongated making it an oval shape instead of round.

first buy from Borders: 2 bookmarks for 1.50 pound and coloured pens for 3.00 pound.

i just couldn't resist......

West End Festival

went to the West End Festival last Sun... seriously, i don't know what's that festival all about.. but here are some pics of the event... and more to come....

Grocerriessss.....

we were brought to the 'big' Tesco last week by our seniors... it's about 20 minutes walk from our residence (if we walk fast that is) (by the way, in Glasgow, the main mode of transportation is your FEET!!).... since we don't get to ge to go (and we don't plan to go) to that FAR Tesco so often, we thought we should grab whatever we want at one go.

Glasgow

it's been a week already in Glasgow, Scotland.... just got our internet connection yesterday.
i'm terribly tired everyday even tho i had 7 hours of sleep.... the moment the lecturer starts talking, my eyelids were so heavy and it could just drop down any time.... am i the only one feeling that?
anyway, here are some random pics taken... can't remember where but i think it's somewhere near George Square.

Convocation

Had a convocation ceremony last Saturday at KL Hilton... the whole ceremony starts at 10 am but we had to be there by 7 am for a rehearsal beforehand.... in fact this convocation is just a ceremony marking our completion of the Part A of the Pharmacy Programme... we will need continue the Part B in Scotland in about a week's time.... here are some pictures captured on that day...

I'm kinda into pink lately, i don't why... i am more of a sleek type of person and black was my favourite colour...
I really like my new watch (well, not very new, it's abt a few weeks old now)...i've always wanted a big headed (i don't really know what is it called)...unfortunately, my wrist was too small for those types... finally, i manage to get this one which is not too huge but still big...

What a day

Gimme a break, people.... everyone's been nagging me about my luggages.... they asked me to swap from one bag to another hoping that the new bags are lighter, hence minimising the overall weight.... within these 3 days, i've already swapped like 6 bags..... does anyone ever realise that removing the clothes from one bag and putting them into another is not a nice thing to do? after swapping so many bags, the overall weight remains the same....meaning back to square one. So,what was the conclusion? There was no conclusion, they just asked me to figure how to solve the problem on my own....

Now comes the matriach of the family. she asked me to forward an email to my aunt and i did... they even sent a verification saying 'your mail has been sent'. 30 minutes later, my aunt called saying that she still hasn't receive the mail and the below conversation took place:
M: Do u actually know how to forward a mail??? How come your aunt still hasn't receive it??
(i was like, yeah of course i know how to forward a mail... i've been doing it for ages.... just because she didn't receive it that doesn't mean u have to be furious with me as if it's my fault... so, i sayed...)
LING: NO, i don't know how to forward a mail....
M: If u don't, then u shouldn't be such a busybody forwarding it just now....
(i was puzzled.... i didn't volunteer to forward the mail, it was u who asked me too...!!!)


And to complete my day, someone told me that 'YOU'RE NOT NICE'......Seriously, what have i done wrong???

8 am -------> Breakfast --------> Mc D

Yup, had breakfast at Centrepoint's Mc D at 8 a.m today.... Had a big breakfast set and was reading the complimentary Sun while waiting for my appointment.... Out of a sudden, i heard one man yelling at the lady by the counter saying, "you shouldn't sleep if u are working at Mc Donalds...". Then he walked off, back to his seat where his other 2 friends were waiting.... Next thing, we saw the lady carrying 3 sets of the Big Breakfast to the guy.... After lifting up the last set of Big Breakfast, the guy just threw the tray onto the table next to them which eventually dropped onto the floor....
So, i guess the guy was furious because the food came so late and he was probably mad cos the staffs were not efficient....

he say he didn't make it.... but i didn't believe... he gave the same answer when most of us asked him, but we were still hesitating on whether to believe or not....
now, i'm starting to believe what he said....
i'm losing my partner....
i wouldn't say that he makes a good partner, but who am i to complain since i am not a perfect one as well.... he's never early when he's required to, he doesn't finish the job fast like some others.....
however, he's definitely the only one who could withstand my extraordinary attitude and temper......i don't think anyone else could do better than he did....
his absence will be felt........

Marigold 'no sugar added'

Tried the Marigold 'no sugar added' orange juice..... prefer the Sunkist one which tasted more like a freshly squeezed orange juice... Marigold's tasted a lil bit slimy and thick, similar to those feeling or texture of mango juices.....

Went to Jogoya at Starhill last Sunday, it was supposed to be a pre-Mother's DAy treat, cos the prices for the buffet was much higher on that special day....
As u guys may already know, the buffet is being carried out in 4 sessions:
BRUNCH.............RM 78++
HI-TEA...............RM 68++
DINNER..............RM 88++
SUPPER..............RM 78++
Basically there's no difference in terms of food between this 4 sessions but the only difference is the duration of the buffet.
Thought of taking phtos of the food served, but affraid that they may not allow, so took video using my mobile phone instead.... the pic quality sucks, hopefully u guys are able to identify the dishes...

Rememberance

I was spring cleaning my room today for CNY purpose. Every year when this time comes, i will definitely come across those greeting cards that i've received fr my fellow frens. I've been keeping those cards for 6 years already, not bad huh? seriously, whatever my frens gave me, i'll always keep it and make sure that they r always in good condition. Tot of sharing some of those beautiful HAND MADE cards fr 2 of my close frens, Pei Yin & Jane(my BEST fren)....
p.s. Just pay attn to the cards n not the background, needed something to make the cards stand, the only thing in my room that can do that is my printer, wahaha...

Blogs..

I was surfing thru my Xanga site a moment ago n decided to browse for blogs from Hong Kong. Don't know y i kinda like Hong Kong related stuffs so much lately... hahaha... Sad to say that most of the bloggers over there blog in chinese which is something i've expected, still i was hoping to get a few blogs which are in english. Would love to read bout their daily lifestyle which i think is so much more interesting than ours back here in Malaysia. Or maybe it's just me who is boring n not the lifestyle in Malaysia.....
Have been listening to JUSTIN's CD this whole week. Gonna change my review about it! i LOVE his songs (majority)..... i love the album... not sure if he'll be successsful, but he's quite good for a newbie compared to those in the past like TWINS and BOY'Z.... Is not that i don't like TWINS or BOY'Z but i think the birth of these 2 groups is just for the sake of money-making. it's rather a sales gimic, to attract the young fellas... rather than to produce good music. Good singers are those who can perform LIVE on stage.... i personally don't think TWINS can tho i haven't heard them singing LIVE b4.
If my post has actually offended some of u guys out there, particularly the fans of TWINS AND BOY'Z, i would like to apologize..... sorry
