A.U.G.U.S.T

This is the first post for the month of August. Am i really that bz or what? Haven't been blogging for such a long long long time. Month of August is definitely a month full of birthday celebrations. First one would be my dad's & a friend of my mine, ST (both on the same day).
Next one would b another friend of mine, EUNICE!! Sigh, all of us would be 21 this year. 21!!! so mature (or maybe just plain old) yet still childish (i think this statement applies to the 3 of us; me, ST & EUNICE). lol...

What does being 21 mean to u guys? total freedom & independence?? Or is it just another figure describing your age? At first, i thought being 21 is special. It means i'm a grown up i suppose. However, as i celebrated my friends 21st birthday, i realised that somehow or rather, it's just another birthday. Like the last 20 birthdays that we have gone through, it's just another day where cakes are presented in front of us, and lit candles awaiting to be blown.

I finally realised that what matters the most to me is who you are celebrating your birthday with and if u actually have a memorable celebration, u shall be able to remember it if not forever, at least for another 3 years to come. Figure cannot judge whether a person is mature or has grown up. I don't think any one would need a figure to tell ppl that, "hey! I'm a grown uP!!" Although when u come to think about it, u'll realised that there's nothing special about being 21, yet u r still anticipating for that day to arrive. Pretty weird right??
