Sem 5 has begun a week ago, another tough one i guess! We've got 2 visiting lecturers, one for DD3 and the other for PP2. Having such a 'wonderful' experience in sem 4, i guess everyone would study harder for this sem cos everyone is looking forward to going to Scotland !
I guess our batch would be the most unforgettable group for most of the lecturers that have thought us, and of course our very own dean, PP. He told us that, our batch has produced the worst ever results that he has seen ever since he started working in IMU!! Our batch managed to have 24 failures (if i'm not mistaken) in PP1... Thank God i managed to pass...
On top of that, i think our batch gives him the most trouble as well. And because of that, he needs more beta blockers for his heart.... Talking about trouble, last week we had OKH teaching us DD3. Most our batch mates came late for his lecture (it was an early one). He was very pissed of... so he complained that matter to PP and PP came after us, giving us a very 'good' lecture. And yes, it was a VERY good one indeed.
Today, we had a car wash activity in order to raise some money to subsidise our convo mag! it was pretty OK for a start and hopefully all other activities would be a success. The convo mag committe has definitely worked very hard in producing the mag, THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WHO ARE INVOLVED!
I also managed to find out that some of our batch mates have to leave cos they did not make it in the resit paper for PP1. Yeah, i know, my news came really late. But i really feel sad for them, after 2 years of studying together, they actually have to leave. Hopefully they'll do better when they join the juniors in the new sem. One of my ex-college mate decided to quit the course as well! I felt really bad cos we were quite close back in college, whereby we would look for tuition teachers together and go for extra classes together. I didn't ask why she decided to leave, tho i really wanted to know. Hopefully she'll be able to pursue other degree that suits her better!
What a start for my sem 5...
